Why the Nautilus?
The sages of ancient India and Hindus to this day understood that the Nautilus is symbolic of a deep inner harmony and the continued renewal of all life. The inner chambers represent the various stages of one's life that one must traverse. The spiral illustrates the creation, movement, fluidity and evolution of the Universe. It reveals the innate cyclical nature of life and the relationship between unity and multiplicity. With no beginning and no end, the spiral curls eternally inward towards the Source of creation, and simultaneously curls eternally outward with Source energies continual self-creation. The Nautilus inspires us towards an increased awareness of the innate healing potential that underlies and pervades all life, gently encouraging mankind to embrace the concepts of balance, health, and well-being both in the world in which we live and, within ourselves.
